Designer Sue Michael has created a beautiful collection of scarf designs, ready for you to print and turn into your own finished pieces.
Scarf panel measures 70 × 70 cm. You can fit 2 full scarf panels within 1 metre of fabric, or 4 full panels when ordering 1.5 metres.
We recommend our Cotton Voile, Chiffon and Dilly fabrics as the most suitable option for scarves.
Artist’s Statement
What at first may appear to be delicate, cotton wool-like, fluffy flowers in a close-up view, could be shown to be plants full of strength, if you stepped back in their landscape. These shrubs, native to Western Australia, can grow to 3 metres tall, and when in flower, can easily be seen from a distance. They are not insignificant at all! These collaged papers are set against a light blue background, though the soil-coloured border could have been made redder, like the plant’s local earth. Instead, the brown used matches some of our human hair and eye colouring.
