Before the warm weather kicks back into gear, take your designs to the next level by learning how to apply them to your own one of a kind swimsuit. Stand out on the beach, make a splash in the pool and all in your very own design.
Focusing on developing designs for placement printing, this one day workshop will give you an insight into the world of digital fabric printing. Using photographs or images and applying various manipulation options in Photoshop, at the end of the day you will have learnt how to quickly mask a garment pattern and prepare a print layout for multiple sizes or designs of swimwear.
Covered in the workshop:
- What is digital printing and what is a placement print?
- How print design can develop
- Taking photographs, using existing digital imagery, scanning in artwork
- Learn about manipulation options in Photoshop such as altering colour, texture, and layering options, to develop a print design
- Using a layer mask with garment patterns
- Setting up print files and saving options
Course Requirements:
- Intermediate knowledge or experience in Photoshop.
- Adobe Photoshop installed on your personal laptop. Required to bring your laptop (don’t forget the charger cable) to work on during the day.
- Camera, camera phone and any required cables to transfer images to the laptop
- Personal artwork or designs to be scanned
- Your best creative self and an open mind

Additional costs
After the workshop, you can choose to have your swimmers printed and finished. This is at an additional cost and would need to be arranged with Digital Fabrics following the workshop.
