Designer Sue Michael has created a beautiful collection of scarf designs, ready for you to print and turn into your own finished pieces.
Scarf panel measures 70 × 70 cm. You can fit 2 full scarf panels within 1 metre of fabric, or 4 full panels when ordering 1.5 metres.
We recommend our Cotton Voile, Chiffon and Dilly fabrics as the most suitable option for scarves (this design is better suited to a polyester fabric).
Artist’s Statement
Two parrots are both clutching love hearts, ready to deliver them, metaphorically, to the wearer. Out of the darkened space, they emerge with jewel-like vibrancy within their green feathers. The border has been made of gelatine plate monoprints of actual plants, whilst the parrots and twigs are collaged plain papers. Little touches of red, the complementary colour, help to make the greens more vibrant.
