Designer Sue Michael has created a beautiful collection of scarf designs, ready for you to print and turn into your own finished pieces.
Scarf panel measures 70 × 70 cm. You can fit 2 full scarf panels within 1 metre of fabric, or 4 full panels when ordering 1.5 metres.
We recommend our Cotton Voile, Chiffon and Dilly fabrics as the most suitable option for scarves.
Artist’s Statement
AWE ( Artists of the World’s End) members are involved in conserving pristine hills, south of Burra, South Australia. There are so many birds, insects, and wildflowers that we see on our visits. We have found ways to study the plants without picking them. In this scarf, gelatine plate monoprints are used as backgrounds that have been overprinted with masked and stenciled wildflower shapes. There is a hope that the soft colours will make you feel as pretty as the wildflowers are.
